Hoboken led the game late into the third 2-0, but PFD rallied back late in the third to tie the score. McGrady has yet to be on the ice this season and will undergo arthroscopic surgery sometime in the coming weeks. He has been the guy that is always there and will be deeply missed stated one PFD Hockey player. PFD HOCKEY MAKES IT OFFICIAL AS CRAMPTON ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT
Paterson FD Hockey General Manager, Ed McGrady made it official today as Peter Crampton announced he was retiring from the Hockey Club. It was a hard announcement for me to accept, but Pete was upset that I didn't make it when he asked. I was hoping he would change his mind and continue to play. Pete was the other guy who helped start the team with McGrady. It was awhile ago that Crampton told McGrady, he was retiring from playing. I guess it was one of those things you do not want to here or make official. Crampton will stay on board as a Executive Board member for the team. Pete is coaching at the youth hockey level and is also waiting to get promoted so his time is limited. He was the guy who helped me start all this, and I just did not want to see him go, he always helped in the day to day operations and was the source I went to on many questions that arrise when running a team.
Pete came up with the idea to run a Benefit game just five season ago, so as a tribute, Pete will be honored at this years Benefit game. Just five years ago we played that first benefit game against the NJ Municipal Police and now it is in our 6th. Season, and we play the NJ Devils Alumni Association. The team has donated many dollars to charities and families in need since that first game. This years game will be played sometime in the new year.

McGrady thanked all the citizens who came out in the bad weather to support the Firefighters. The game was on February 16, the day of the blizzard of 2003. Even with the bad weather we had a great crowd and once again our local supporters came out in force. We thank them for that from our hearts said McGrady.
